New territory.

Rhodes, Greece

Hi friends! We are back from spring break and I can’t wait to tell you about our adventures on the beautiful island of Rhodes,Greece.

But first! Two exciting things happened recently that I wanted to share with you.

If you are an Instagram addict like I am, you might have seen the pic I posted a few weeks ago of my first “blate” (blogger date) with my new friend in Milan, Jenny.

Jenny blogs about expat life in Milan, travel, her quest to find the best gelato (I love this so much!) and much more at her blog Milan Transfer.  She and her husband moved from Australia to Milan last year.

Jenny reached out to me through the blogosphere, and I am so glad she did! I loved getting to know her and felt like we were old friends immediately.

First blate with Jenny

We talked about expat life, travel, family, food, Milan, and blogging. She shared stories of their experiences during Milan’s recent design week– I’ve already decided I need to be tagging along with her next time around!

The other new thing is this. I recently collaborated on an article over at The Radisson Blu Blog! This was new territory for me and how wonderful to be asked about favorite places and tips for living as an expat in Milan.

Because I am indecisive and apparently already have a lot of favorites- I sent them quite a lengthy list, and they picked a few of the places I recommended along with some other Milan blogger’s tips & recommendations. So Fun!

The article is called “The Expat Guide to Milan”.  Head over and check it out and let me know what you think and if you have other spots we all should know about! I was happy to discover 2 other bloggers based in Milan and hear their tips as well.

I love it when people share their favorite places! We learned about many of our favorite restaurants in and around Milan from my hubby’s Italian co-workers and our new expat friends. One of the places I recently visited and recommended in the article, I read about originally in Jenny’s blog!  I will share the entire list with you soon, and we can add to it as we find new places.

So that is what is new in my little bloggy world. I have SO been enjoying getting to know some of you and sharing the adventures we’ve been having in Italy and beyond.

I’d love to know more about YOU! I really hope you’ll stick around and introduce yourself.

    Hi Heather,
Our ‘blate’ was so much fun! Congratulations on the article which I loved reading. Milan really is a bit of a hidden gem as we’re discovering. I’m looking forward to your next post about your travels over Easter. Let’s ‘blate’ again soon.
